Thomas Granville is our Chief Executive Officer and also sits on the board. He served as our board chairman from January 2004 until he accepted the CEO position in April 2005. Mr. Granville has 27 years of experience as a CEO and general partner in contracting, service, real estate and other start up investment entities. He was a former 10-year past president of the National Elevator Industry Inc., a national trade and labor bargaining association. Mr. Granville also served 15 years as treasurer, 10 years as the president of the National Elevator Industry Inc., a trade association that represents elevator manufacturers and contractors where his duties included labor negotiations for national contracts and oversight duties to a $2.3 billion national pension fund. Mr. Granville is a 1967 graduate of Canisus College where he received a BA in Business Administration.

| Donald Hillier |

Donald Hillier is our Chief Financial Officer with 24 years of experience providing financial consulting to enterprises ranging from early stage start up companies to Fortune 100 companies, as well as, a CFO and director for two international companies prior to joining Axion. Mr. Hillier’s expertise includes SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation and corporate taxation, as well as starting and managing an international subsidiary in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Hillier has been a guest speaker in a variety of panel discussions. Before joining the company, Mr. Hillier served through Resources Global Professionals from 2003-2007, as an executive financial consultant to various companies. During this time Mr. Hillier also provided CFO services to various small companies assisting with capital formation, strategic planning, and operations management. From 2007 to May, 2008 he served as CFO for The Continuous Learning Group, and international strategy and management consulting firm. He earned his M.B.A. in Corporate Finance and International Operations from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2000.

| Edward Buiel, Ph.D. |

Edward Buiel, Ph.D. is our Chief Technical Officer and has 12 years of experience developing lithium-ion batteries, super capacitors, asymmetric lead-carbon supercapacitors, and carbon-based materials for various electrochemical applications. Before joining Axion, Dr. Edward Buiel served for 7 years as a project leader for the Energy Storage Group of Meadwestvaco Corporation, one of the largest producers of activated carbon in the world. His responsibilities included managing a USCAR-Advanced Battery Consortium project to develop activated carbon materials for hybrid electric vehicle ("HEV") energy storage systems, and managing a joint program with Sandia National Laboratories to develop lead-carbon capacitors for grid-connected energy storage systems. Dr. Buiel is playing an integral role in taking our PbC® product to market. He received his BS in Engineering and Physics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1994, and received a Ph.D. in Physics from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and wrote his Doctorial Thesis on “The Development of Disordered Carbon Materials as Anode Materials for Li-ion Battery Applications.”
